Airlie St

Postcard of Airlie Street around 1908.

The close with yellow tiles belongs to 88 Turnberry Rd. Along Airlie St, numbers 1-11 are in view, with a distant glimpse of Clarence Drive. The railings in this part of the block are relatively plain. Children play on the grass in Hayburn Park. Airlie Street was later widened by removing part of the garden at the right - now an indispensable parking area! Until 1912, Turnberry Rd was known as Minard Rd, and was in Partick, along with 1-5 Airlie St and 2-6 Dudley Dr.
